ADP staffs always monitor and make follow up of all child abuse cases through the child protection agents.

 

ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE PROJECT

The program has realized the following achievements within 2 years(2011 – 2013)

Reduction of corporal punishment in the 8 pilot schools by 40% and the adoption of non violent methods of child discipline.

Promotion of child friendly schools(for pilot and even non pilot schools within.

Parents,guardians and teachers have began to embrace the use of dialogue in training children to be self discipline.

Village elders have been trained on the basics of child protection and make part of the program agents within our area of operation.

Youth who operate motorbike transport services have been sensitized on children protection issues and their attitude has began to change positively especially about sexual abuse of the girl child.
